Born on a glittering world in the core of the GHC, Semira grew up a member of the upper elite. Her education was filled with accolades and the best educators money could buy, and her aspirations towards politics propelled her to the same carreer as her mother. When her family's money dried up after a string of poorly handled cyberattacks, she found the Hegemony's embedded racism against non-core species brought their full weight to bear upon her family. Bereft of help, they quickly fell into abject poverty.

Spoilt and unable to cope, Semira left her family to seek her own fortunes, believing her privilege to be inborn rather than a mantle passed to her by her parents. The universe quickly proved her wrong, which drove her under the shadow, and eventually the thumb, of a corporate Elite who saw her as little more than a piece of candy for his reputation. Refusing to grow jaded by giving up her self-perception, she doggedly stood in defense of those who oppressed her as the crew of the Argent Whispers sought to escape the grasp of those very same oppressors. It was not until she was forced to tag along with the crew for survival that she learned of her privilege and began to change her mind.

Semira is cocky and smug, sporting playful jabs and a haughty attitude that only softened into irony over time. She makes her opinions of others known, though dislikes truly causing strife... but will unhesitatingly flame those who she percieves as outside of her group. She found close, deep friendships with both Shiny and Elise, and over the years developed a not-so-subtle crush on Tess as well, much to the amusement of the rest of the crew.
