Melody is reserved, quiet, and decisive. She speaks softly, sparingly, and never hedges or caveats. When she sings, her voice carries throughout the entire ship. Tireless in her work, she has grown lax in Tess’s presence since demanding him as her hive’s royal protector. She soothes and entertains the crew, decorates their quarters, and now studies organic chemistry as her growing hive produces its species’ medicinal honey for the first time.

An Estrejachi Princess by biology and rank, Melody escaped the Argent Whispers after the crew kidnapped her from her threatened, pre-FTL civilization. With mysterious help, she survived alone in a galaxy far larger than she’d imagined, until slavers captured her to sell as an exotic specimen. Rescued by the same crew, she abandoned escape and chose to join them.
