Lysander is Tess' eldest son, and Shiny's twin brother. He inherited his mother's ability to read and affect most sapient minds, and awakened this ability from a very young age. This drove him to grow up as a young mediator, and instilled within him a deep feeling of insecurity and lack of self-determination as he tried and failed to constantly regulate those around him while simultaneously respecting their autonomy. His close bond with his parents and sister grew tense and eventually shattered as he reached adulthood, culminating in a violent outburst where he blamed Tess for his wracked mental state. When Shiny took their fathers' side and even retaliated against Lysander's physically violent attacks, he left the family, vanishing into the galactic dark to forge his own path.

When a mysterious outside being contacted him, seeming to not only understand his plight but sympathize with his inner hatred for the crew of the Argent Whispers, he began to plot against his father out of sheer rage, stoked by the outsider. When he returned, however, his plans fell apart and he was soundly physically beaten, which led to tearful admissions and a painfully slow path to his eventual psychological recovery.

Lysander is stoic and fatherly in demeanor when composed, as he seeks to mimic his father's bearing in his day-to-day. However, he quickly breaks down when he percieves he is unwanted or has caused some social harm to another, no matter the reality of the situation. He works incredibly hard to hone his skills in order to compete on the same level that his sister Shiny seems to operate on naturally, solidifying the insecurities and severe anxiety he keeps under pressure until they explode violently against anyone nearby.
