Ela Ten de Zara swings wildly between boredom-fueled reckless biomedical experiments and hyperfocus-induced days-long work binges that eschew even food, water, and sleep. Novelty is her everything, driving her preferences in everything from research to romantic and sexual interests. Technically a xenomedical research dropout, she serves as the Argent Whispers’ combat medic and emergency surgeon throughout their rampages.

The theoretically impossible Vulpkanin–Furritum hybrid survived a childhood of medical complications, then earned a full scholarship to the GSC Military Academy of Sciences. Sixteen years into its seven-year medical program, however, she ditched the degree after the Argent Whispers’ Academy operation left her implicated as a conspirator to their criminal chaos. They showed her the mercy her pursuers wouldn’t, so she chose to join the crew as their medic.
